Naples offers a resort like lifestyle with mile upon mile of soft sandy beaches and waterways. A wide variety of sea life and wildlife also call it home and all adds to the tranquil ambience of the area. The town has grown from a small fishing village into a thriving metropolitan resort of 275,000 people. The population fluctuates quite a bit between November and May as ?snowbirds? descend on the area to winter in the sun.
As the average temperature hovers somewhere around 77 degrees, it?s easy to live an outside lifestyle here. There are around one hundred golf courses to play, from average courses to challenging championship courses designed by professional players. The national parks and forests around offer something for nature lovers and those who love scenery rather than sunbathing.
Annual events like the Swamp buggy races and Summer Jazz on the Gulf add to the community and social atmosphere of the area. It welcomes residents and visitors alike. New Years Eve each year results in The Festival of Lights to usher in the new year with over 50,000 lights on display.
Property varies from area to area depending on the development. There are plenty of condos and family homes for sale in Naples, and more than a few estate homes for the wealthier amongst you. Prices range from an affordable $80,000 in Eagle Creek for a smaller Naples condo, to over $23million for an estate home somewhere like Gordon Drive.
There are many venues to satisfy most tastes, from old world charm of Old Naples to new and contemporary shopping malls and retail districts. Naples 5th Avenue and 3rd Street South have a good variety of boutiques and upscale shops to satisfy even the most refined tastes. Talking of taste, the area has a plethora of bistros and restaurants to cater for every palate. A variety of cafes and coffee shops have recently opened along 5th Avenue South to cater for casual diners and coffee lovers alike.
